SUBMISSION

The meeting will feature:

Multiple oral and poster presentation sessions
Regulatory-focused panel discussion
A practical hands-on risk assessment workshop
Continuing Education courses
Presenter and travel awards
Reception, mentoring, and other networking opportunities with regulatory, research, and industry toxicologists

The ASCCT meeting is shaped by attendees submitting proposals to share their science. New this year, all of the oral, flash poster, and PDF poster presentations are drawn from submissions. Session and CE proposal submissions are closed. We invite you to submit your abstracts for flash^ and regular poster presentations now.

Presentations touching on all aspects of in vitro and in silico toxicology, including research, validation, policy, education, and regulatory science, are welcome. You may submit an abstract to be considered for a flash poster or for a pdf poster only.

Submission Deadlines:

June 30, 2024: Regular Abstracts for flash poster or PDF poster presentations
June 30, 2024: Full abstracts for all accepted oral and CE sessions
September 1, 2024: An opportunity for poster-only/"late breaking" PDF posters

^What is a flash poster presentation? A flash poster presentation includes a regular PDF poster, as well as a 3-minute "flash" presentation with 1-3 slides, presented with several others during the flash poster session. Held early in the meeting, it's a nice way to encourage people to come to your poster and chat with you to learn more about your work.

Morning Continuing Education courses will be offered for an additional fee, which will include breakfast.

Session chairs and CE speakers and chairs, as well as some sponsors, are provided complimentary registration. Contact the meeting organizers for a code you can use for registration.

Cancellation of registration is allowed before October 10th less an administrative fee of $25. After October 10th, your registration fee is non-refundable. Please contact [email protected] to cancel your registration.

*Student and trainee attendees must be a student/trainee member of ASCCT to receive special rates. Students and trainees are defined as those enrolled in a bachelor, master, or PhD program or equivalent, post-graduate programs or fellowships, or working in a temporary post-doctoral position. A verification letter from your advisor needs to be provided. Please contact us if you need help with your registration.
**Please note that no on-site registration is possible. Non-US Citizens must register by October 7th and US citizens must register by October 20th. This is to comply with venue security policies.

AWARDS

The ASCCT offers a number of awards before and during the meeting. See below for information and visit the awards page to learn about past awardees.

Travel Awards

This year, ASCCT will be offering two travel awards in advance of the meeting, to assist with the costs of traveling to the meeting. Key details:

The awards will cover meeting registration costs, plus travel, lodging, and food expenses (receipts must be provided).
At least 1 award will be provided to someone from Mexico, Central, or South America
At least 1 award will be provided to a student or post-doctoral trainee

Applicants should provide a statement of interest along with their submitted abstract and a verification of student or trainee status, if applicable, from their advisor. Please submit materials to [email protected] by July 21st.

Edward Carney Predictive Toxicology Award

Dr. Edward Carney was an active and dedicated member of the ASCCT, and a partner, mentor, and friend to many in our fields. His passion and leadership will continue to inspire investigators in in vitro and in silico toxicology through the Edward Carney Predictive Toxicology Award. This award will be provided to the first author of a winning presentation at each ASCCT annual meeting. The winner will receive a $500 cash award to assist with travel and/or research expenses.

Ray Tice Tox21 Student Award

Also, Dr. Ray Tice, a leader in the development and use of high-throughput test methods and other alternatives, established the Tox21 Student Award, which will be awarded to the graduate student first author of a winning poster or oral presentation. The winner will receive a $500 cash award to assist with travel and/or research expenses.

Suzanne Fitzpatrick Student Travel Award

Dr. Suzanne Fitzpatrick has been a leader in facilitating the evaluation and use of NAMs for FDA-regulated products for many years. In recognition of this, she was awarded the William and Eleanor Cave Award in 2020, and with those funds Dr. Fitzpatrick has generously established a student travel award. One award will be available to reimburse travel expenses (up to $1000) for a student (any level) flash or PDF poster presenter.

Poster Awards

Awards will be given for Flash and PDF poster presenters. Amounts to be determined.
