Workshop Overview
Workshop No. 7 will feature Ian Jenkins, Chief Scientific Officer at GATC Health, providing an introduction to digital twins, including discussing what makes this technology distinct from a simulation, how it uses real world data sources, and how it can be scaled to address critical human health issues from treatment to prevention without animal experiments. Attendees will learn how this technology can be incorporated into biomedical research and regulatory testing.


About the Speaker
Ian Jenkins is the Chief Science Officer at GATC Health, where he leads the scientific strategy and application of AI-driven multiomics for predictive drug discovery and therapeutic development. He brings more than a decade of executive leadership across health technology and biotech start-ups, including serving as CEO of Frélii, Inc. and CEO of CodeTech prior to its acquisition by Hospital Corporation of America. A published thought leader in systems biology and digital twin frameworks, his earlier career spans foundational genetics research with the Human Genome Project and clinical development leadership at Orn Industries and Systemic Formulas.

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and Johns Hopkins University Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT) host a workshop series focused on animal-free new approach methods (NAMs) in research and testing.
